Sports & Fitness Industry Association Encouraged by China Tariff Truce

President Trump announced this weekend that no additional tariffs will be imposed on imports from China at this time. This is positive news for the sports and fitness industry. American and Chinese officials will return to negotiations and suspend any immediate action on new tariffs, as a result of President Trump and Chinese President Xi’s meeting at the G-20 Summit in Japan.

The TIA’s Tennis Owners & Managers (TOM) Conference will take place Jan. 22-24th at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) in Orlando, Fla.  This will mark the second year that the TOM Conference will be part of the Racquet & Paddle Sports Show, co-located with the PGA Merchandise Show.

Latest Tennis Participation Report Available From TIA

The 2019 Tennis Participation Report has been published and is available for Tennis Industry Association members. The 26-page report, produced by the TIA in partnership with the Physical Activity Council, includes the most recent data and trends through year-end 2018 for tennis participation, tennis interest, cross participation in other sports and more.
