At the recent annual meeting of the Board of Directors of the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum, CEO Mark L. Stenning announced that he will step down from his position in September 2014.
The 7th annual BNP Paribas Showdown on Monday, March 3, 2014 is set to provide an unbelievable night of tennis when some of the biggest names in the game take on The Garden court. The event will feature tennis’ number one rivalry, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, as well as, for the first time in its history, a unique brothers doubles match with John and Patrick McEnroe teaming up to take on Mike and Bob Bryan, arguably the best doubles team of all-time. The doubles match, which begins at 7:00 p.m., will be an eight-game pro set followed by a best-of-three sets for the singles match.
Three industry leaders will be honored with induction into the Tennis Industry Hall of Fame in 2013. Howard R. Gill Jr., Walter Montenegro, and Sheldon Westervelt will join previous inductees Howard Head (2008), Dennis Van der Meer (2008), Alan Schwartz (2009), Billie Jean King (2010) and Nick Bollettieri (2011).

Marcy Bruce, of McMurray, Pennsylvania, has been selected to receive the PTR/TIA Commitment to the Industry Award. Bruce is a PTR Clinician and Tester in both Adult Development and 10 & Under Tennis. She is also the TRX Cardio Tennis Director for the Upper Saint Clair Tennis Development Program.

Mike Ballardie, the new CEO of Prince Global Sports, is the newest member of the Tennis Industry Association’s Board of Directors. Ballardie, who is based in London, has been responsible for Prince’s operations in the eastern hemisphere for nearly 10 years.
