For the 10th year the University Sports Program is set to host the the USP International College Tennis Showcase in South Florida (Weston). The showcase has grown into one of the top college showcases in the country, with over 60 college coaches and + 80 players from across the USA and oversees. Over 100 players have landed great scholarship offers.
As the US Open unfolded in Flushing Meadows, N.Y., media interest in the business of tennis was high as representatives from the TIA, including President Greg Mason and others, took to networks such as Fox News, Bloomberg, and CNBC to discuss the growth of the game. Also coming across the media wire was the excitement generated for the tennis industry with The Tennis Show 2014, an event produced by the TIA and held in conjunction with the Tennis Teacher's Conference at the Grand Hyatt New York.
More than 1,000 tennis industry leaders, executives and professionals gathered at The Tennis Show 2014 recently in New York City to celebrate the business of tennis. Held on the eve of the US Open, The Tennis Show was produced by the Tennis Industry Association (TIA) and included the TIA Tennis Forum, the Tennis Industry Hall of Fame Induction, and 54 companies displaying their latest products and services.
After a successful Future of Tennis Summit and Tennis Owners & Managers Conference (T.O.M. Conference) in 2014, the Tennis Industry Association (TIA) will return to Indian Wells, Calif., in March 2015 to host similar meetings as a part of its efforts to provide the industry with opportunities to gather and share ideas on growing frequent players and the business of tennis.
All of the major tennis manufacturers, along with dozens of other companies and organizations, will show off their newest tennis technology, gear, apparel, equipment and services at the 2014 Tennis Show—the largest industry-only gathering for the tennis trade. The Tennis Show and TIA Tennis Forum will be on Aug. 24 at the Grand Hyatt in New York City.

The 2014 Tennis Teachers Conference will be Aug. 22 to 25 at the Grand Hyatt New York. The event brings together the leading tennis teaching professionals and coaches in the industry to share best practices, and will include a series of interactive on-court sessions and presentations. This year, the USPTA will join the USTA in hosting the TTC.
Mylan World TeamTennis and ESPN have agreed to a multiyear deal to air the Mylan WTT Finals live on ESPN2 and broadcast more than 60 hours of programming annually on ESPN3.
Visit Orlando, the official tourism association for Orlando, Fla., teamed up with the USTA on June 13 to announce a major new partnership. Visit Orlando has been named the exclusive global tourism partner of the US Open. In addition to receiving on-court exposure at the US Open, Visit Orlando will also be able to engage with the more than 700,000 consumers attending the storied national tennis championships.
