TOM Conference/Future of Tennis Forum Focuses on Business, Participation Growth

The fourth annual Tennis Owners & Managers (TOM) Conference attracted more than 250 tennis facility owners, managers and others in the industry, from 30 states and seven countries. The TOM Conference was presented by the Tennis Industry Association (TIA) and held at the Rosen Shingle Creek resort in Orlando, Fla., March 27-29.

Tennibot Named Winner of Inaugural Tennis Industry Innovation Challenge

The Tennis Industry Association (TIA) staged its own version of “March Madness” recently and even crowned a champion—in less than one hour. The TIA’s “March Madness” event was the Tennis Industry Innovation Challenge, a “Shark Tank”-like competition to identify the most innovative and creative product or service in the tennis industry. In the final analysis, the panel of judges picked Tennibot, a robotic tennis ball collector.

TIA Meetings in Orlando Bring Together Top Talent and Innovation

The first day of tennis industry meetings in Orlando, Fla., at the end of March will open with a Future of Tennis Forum, a “Tennis Innovation Challenge,” and a Tennis Health & Wellness Panel. The meetings, March 27-29, are presented by the Tennis Industry Association (TIA) and lead into the fourth annual Tennis Owners & Managers (TOM) Conference, which will be at the award-winning Rosen Shingle Creek Resort.

Innovation Challenge Attracts 34 Tennis Products/Services

The inaugural Tennis Industry Innovation Challenge showcasing new and innovative products designed to help grow tennis businesses brought in 36 applications. Finalists from the application process will have the opportunity to present at the 2017 Tennis Owners & Managers Conference in Orlando March 27.

10th Annual TIA Tennis Forum Set for Aug. 28 in New York City

The 10th Annual TIA Tennis Forum will be Monday morning, Aug. 28, which is the first day of play at the 2017 US Open. This year’s Forum will be at a new location, the Intercontinental New York Barclay Hotel, at Lexington Avenue and 49th Street.
