Tennis providers should sign up now at RallyTheFamily.com to participate in the industry-wide “Rally the Family” campaign to increase tennis activity and interest in the sport—and to take advantage of free promotional and marketing material, including downloadable guides, drills, teaching models and more.
The upcoming Tennis Owners & Managers Conference (T.O.M. Conference) in Miami March 23-25 will provide an opportunity for attendees to learn about the latest products and trends and to experience interactive resources and ideas, as the event will feature a Tennis Tech Fair & Resource Center and an “Idea Fair” workshop.
Experts from all segments of tennis facility and club management continue to sign-on to present at the 2016 Tennis Owners & Managers (T.O.M.) Conference, which will be March 23-25 in Miami during the Miami Open pro tournament. The event will be held at the Downtown Miami Hilton on Biscayne Blvd.
This November and December, the USTA is spearheading the testing of “Rally the Family” messaging in selected markets across the country. The nationwide campaign is scheduled to roll out to consumers in March. Rally the Family focuses on tennis for all ages, using lower compression Red, Orange and Green tennis balls, shorter courts, shorter racquets and modified scoring, along with a focus on family spending time together in fun and healthy activities.
A “Rally the Family” campaign designed to bring more players into the sport of tennis was unveiled by the USTA and TIA at the 8th Annual TIA Tennis Forum, held in New York City during the 2015 US Open. The new family tennis initiative will be rolled out to consumers in March, said Kurt Kamperman, the USTA’s chief executive of Community Tennis.

Tennis providers can use the power of Nickelodeon, the No. 1 media brand for kids and parents, to help grow their youth tennis programs in September. The USTA’s partnership with Nickelodeon means the media giant is helping to drive traffic to YouthTennis.com, where parents and kids can find programs and places to play tennis.
Sportsmen’s Tennis and Enrichment Center, located in Dorchester’s historic Harambee Park, will host Olympic and Paralympic tennis if Boston becomes the host city for the 2024 Olympic Games, Sportsmen’s Executive Director Toni Wiley and Boston 2024 Partnership CEO Rich Davey announced.
Throughout the month of May, the tennis industry-supported “Try Tennis Free” campaign will bring non-players and former players into the sport at any of at least 1,800 participating facilities nationwide. Consumers, particularly new or returning players, can visit PlayTennis.com or TryTennisFree.com to find local facilities and tennis teaching professionals offering a free introductory session, lesson, clinic or other event.
