In an effort to always raise the bar and meet the ever-increasing demand for Cardio Tennis training in the U.S. and internationally, we have re-structured and re-branded the longtime Cardio Tennis Speakers team. We now have a “TIA Global Cardio Tennis Team."
Certified Fitness professionals who participate in and complete a seven hour Cardio Tennis Training can now receive Continuing Education Units from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. With this announcement, Cardio Tennis becomes the first tennis oriented programs to receive continuing education accreditation by the NASM, which has been the global leader in delivering evidenced-based certifications and advanced credentials to health and fitness professionals since 1987.
With over 30 Cardio Tennis Training courses scheduled around the country in 2013, tennis professionals and facilities have a great opportunity to learn how to deliver one of the most popular and fastest growing tennis programs and become a Licensed Cardio Tennis professional. Now, to help expand the reach of Cardio Tennis and get even more facilities and professionals on board with the program, anyone attending a Cardio Tennis Training Course in 2013 will receive their first year of Cardio Tennis Authorized Provider status for FREE - a $100 value.
Cardio Tennis is fast becoming a worldwide brand—receiving prominent play by Tennis Australia (TA) during this year’s Australian Open and officially relaunching/rebranding in Great Britain with new initiatives and a new spokesperson.
The Upper St. Claire (Pa.) Tennis Development Program, Inc. won the inaugural Cardio Tennis Get Fit Challenge, in which tennis facilities from across country competed in a five-week challenge designed to help participants reach their health and fitness goals.
This past year has seen exciting developments in the Cardio Tennis program. New technologies and tools have been added to the program offering to help tennis businesses create even more revenue, as well as welcome more people to tennis. Hundreds of new coaches, both in the United States and globally have attended training courses to become Licensed Cardio Tennis professionals. As we look back on our progress for 2012 we are pleased with the growth in the program in other countries and at home, yet we realize there are many opportunities to further enhance Cardio Tennis and we will continue to work on building upon the successes of the past seven years.
This past year was very successful year in terms of training new coaches to deliver the Cardio Tennis program. Hundreds of tennis coaches, both in the US and abroad, attended Cardio Tennis training courses in 2012. To keep the momentum going, ensure quality control and safety, and to continue growth of the program throughout the various regions of the US and the world, a robust schedule of training courses is being developed for 2013. Certified teaching professionals who attended a Cardio Tennis Training workshop also receive CEU's from the PTR and MAP Points from the USPTA. Upon completion of the course will be a licensed cardio tennis professional.
