The USTA Foundation, the official charity of the BNP Paribas Showdown, is offering exclusive packages and sponsorship opportunities at World Tennis Day that includes the World Tennis Day Awards Celebration on March 7 and the BNP Paribas Showdown on March 8. The events will feature Showdown players Serena Williams, Caroline Wozniacki, Stan Wawrinka and Gael Monfils.

The ATP and Emirates Airline announced a new partnership on Nov. 22 that will see the award-winning airline elevate its status to the Premier Partner of the ATP World Tour starting in 2016. The five-year agreement represents the biggest sponsorship deal in the history of the ATP.

The Board of Directors of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) announced its unanimous decision naming Steve Simon, the Tournament Director and Chief Operating Officer of the BNP Paribas Open Indian Wells Tennis Tournament, as the new CEO of the women's tour.
Tennis promoter Jerry Solomon and a group of financial backers have bought the BB&T Open, the ATP Tour tournament in Atlanta that is part of the Emirates Airline US Open Series and played at the end of July. Earlier this year, the same Solomon-led group also acquired the ATP event in Memphis, which is played in February.
ESPN’s first exclusive US Open resulted in the tournament’s biggest TV audience in four years – capped by a Men’s Championship seen by 43 percent more people than last year – plus an explosion of live streaming on WatchESPN. The average audience across two weeks on ESPN and ESPN2 was 1,265,000 viewers (P2+), up 20 percent compared to 1,054,000 a year ago with a combination of cable and broadcast telecasts, according to Nielsen. It was the most-viewed US Open since 2011 (1,443,000).
Mylan World TeamTennis’ historic 40th season closed out Aug. 2 with the Washington Kastles making history by winning a record fifth consecutive championship title with a 24-18 victory over the Austin Aces in Washington DC. It was the sixth overall championship for the Kastles, tying the mark set by the Sacramento Capitals in 2007.
