The 10th Annual TIA Tennis Forum will be Monday morning, Aug. 28, which is the first day of play at the 2017 US Open. This year’s Forum will be at a new location, the Intercontinental New York Barclay Hotel, at Lexington Avenue and 49th Street.
The Tennis Industry Association is accepting nominations for the Tennis Industry Hall of Fame for 2017, which honors individuals who have made a significant impact on the sport of tennis. Nominations, which are due by June 1, can be in any of four categories: Inventors, Founders, Innovators or Contributors. Criteria for nominating and a short nomination form are available at TennisIndustry.org/HoF.
Dr. Jack Groppel was named the recipient of the 2017 PTR/TIA Commitment to the Industry Award at the PTR International Tennis Symposium Awards Dinner on Hilton Head Island, S.C., Feb. 15.
