Tennis fans can receive free admission to the US Open grounds on Sept. 10, the second Thursday of the event. The action on the courts will include semifinal matches in men’s and women’s doubles, and the USTA American Collegiate Invitational, which will feature top U.S. collegiate players.
The TIA and USTA have released the updated “Tennis Talking Points” document, which highlights and summarizes a number of topics regarding the tennis industry, with a focus on key messaging. The document, which can be used to help promote tennis locally, is available to view and download at TennisIndustry.org under “media.”
Tennis providers can use the power of Nickelodeon, the No. 1 media brand for kids and parents, to help grow their youth tennis programs in September. The USTA’s partnership with Nickelodeon means the media giant is helping to drive traffic to YouthTennis.com, where parents and kids can find programs and places to play tennis.

The Forum, which is free to attend, will be from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. in Salon V on the Ballroom level. Sportsmen’s Tennis and Enrichment Center, located in Dorchester’s historic Harambee Park, will host Olympic and Paralympic tennis if Boston becomes the host city for the 2024 Olympic Games, Sportsmen’s Executive Director Toni Wiley and Boston 2024 Partnership CEO Rich Davey announced.
The eighth annual TIA Tennis Forum will be on Monday, Aug. 31, on the Ballroom level of the Grand Hyatt New York City, right before play begins at the 2015 US Open.
