The event, which will be held at the Hilton Miami Downtown, will run from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Prior to the start of the State of the Industry Forum, a “Tennis Tech Fair & Resource Center” will open at 9 a.m. and offer the opportunity to learn about key new trends and products in the marketplace.
Longtime tennis journalist and TV tennis analyst Arthur “Bud” Collins died March 4 at his home in Brookline, Mass. He was 86 years old.

The 2016 Tennis Owners & Managers Conference in Miami March 23-25 will feature Dr. Jack Groppel, an internationally recognized authority and pioneer in the science of human performance. Dr. Groppel, who is the co-founder of the Johnson & Johnson Human Performance Institute, has a long history in tennis. He will address tennis facility owners/managers on topics that include the importance of health and fitness in helping to grow tennis and the industry.

This November and December, the USTA is spearheading the testing of “Rally the Family” messaging in selected markets across the country. The nationwide campaign is scheduled to roll out to consumers in March. Rally the Family focuses on tennis for all ages, using lower compression Red, Orange and Green tennis balls, shorter courts, shorter racquets and modified scoring, along with a focus on family spending time together in fun and healthy activities.
