Register for 9th TIA Tennis Forum in New York Aug. 29

Register now for the ninth annual TIA Tennis Forum, which will be Monday, Aug. 29, on the Ballroom level of the Grand Hyatt New York City, right before play begins at the 2016 US Open. In addition to presenting the latest news about the tennis industry, the Forum will include a ceremony honoring the two inductees into the Tennis Industry Hall of Fame: Eve Kraft and Eugene Scott.

PHIT KIDS Tennis Charity Events Help You Make a Difference!

The tennis industry and PHIT America are joining forces to promote the sport of tennis and increase physical activity throughout the country. The TIA is encouraging any group that holds tennis events to designate PHIT KIDS as their designated charity to help increase awareness of efforts under way at PHIT America.

Tennis is First Sports Industry To Endorse NPAP, Sign CEO Pledge

The tennis industry became the first sports industry to endorse the new National Physical Activity Plan (NPAP) and the CEO Pledge for Physical Activity when the plan was unveiled on April 20 in Washington, D.C. The NPAP was announced in a press conference at the National Press Club, followed by a Congressional briefing at the U.S. Capitol. During the announcement, the sport of tennis was cited by Dr. Jack Groppel as “the first of hopefully many entire sports to endorse this pledge and this plan.”

More than 300 tennis industry leaders, who gathered recently at the 2016 State of the Tennis Industry Forum held in Miami, heard about the future of the sport, including key information and statistics that pointed out the challenges and opportunities tennis faces today.

BJK Among 'Thought Leaders' at Lake Nona Impact Forum

Billie Jean King was among a select group of 250 of the nation’s top CEOs, health care entrepreneurs and innovators, government officials and other thought leaders at the three-day Lake Nona Impact Forum held in February in Orlando, Fla. The executives engaged in collaborative, action-oriented discussions to develop solutions to improve health, wellness and sustainable living throughout the world. King was interviewed at the Impact Forum on Friday, Feb. 26, by Dr. Jim Loehr, co-founder of the Johnson & Johnson Human Performance Institute.
