TIA, ITF Create Global Research Partnership

The TIA and the International Tennis Federation (ITF) have joined to create a Global Tennis Research Partnership designed to create a plan that establishes participation and market trends on a global basis. It's the first time that a sport has established an international evaluation and measurement program managed and controlled by the stakeholders in the sport.

PlayTennis.com Has Re-Launched, Providers Get Your Marketing Materials

PlayTennis.com, the one stop portal for consumers to find out about all things TENNIS, has recently been relaunched and is beginning to gain traction as the premier tool to connect current and potential players to the sport by allowing them to find places to play, find instruction, connect with retailers, locate programs, and much more! Providers can get involved in the effort, too, by signing up to be listed on the site and helping promote the URL with free marketing materials provided by the industry.

USPTA, PTR and USPTA to Collaborate on Developing a Coaching Education Curriculum to Develop Youth

The United States Tennis Association (USTA) today announced that it is developing an educational curriculum, consisting of a series of courses and workshops, that focuses on the development of young players. The USTA will work in collaboration with the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) and the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA), in developing the curriculum, which will serve as part of the  pathway to PTR and USPTA certification.

Halfway Through 2013: A Snapshot of TIA Efforts

For the first half of 2013 the TIA has been focused on industry efforts to grow the game and the business of tennis. Under the direction of TIA President Greg Mason—whose two-year term commenced at the beginning of 2013—and our board of directors, we continue to focus our efforts on our key strategic platforms.
