Third ‘Tennis Innovation Challenge’ April 9 in Charleston, S.C.

The third Tennis Industry Innovation Challenge promises to showcase some of the most brilliant new and innovative sports products and services designed to grow the sport and business of tennis with players, consumers and fans. This unique competition will take place on April 9 at the 2018 Tennis Owners & Managers (TOM Conference), held at Wild Dunes Resort in Charleston, S.C.

'Supersize' Cardio Tennis Fills the Courts, Burns Calories in Wichita

What happens when you put 175 people onto eight tennis courts for an hour, playing with red balls and shorter racquets, under the direction of trained Cardio Tennis instructors? The players burn a combined estimated total of 102,000 calories (that’s an average 582 calories per participant!), they have a ton of fun—and you have one of the largest single Cardio Tennis events in the U.S.

Play Tennis Month to Rally the Tennis Industry!

Industry partners are working together to promote May as “Play Tennis Month” to help showcase the sport of tennis and associated health benefits. USTA Announces No-Cut Coach All-Star Team

The USTA has announced its No-Cut Coach All-Star Team, recognizing exceptional high school coaches nationwide who implement an inclusive “no-cut” policy which welcome all students to be a part of their high school’s tennis team. Since 2013, the USTA has honored coaches for their dedication and leadership in providing young players the experience of representing their school. 

USTA National Campus Celebrates One-Year Anniversary

The USTA commemorated the one-year anniversary of the USTA National Campus, which officially opened on Jan. 2, 2017, in Lake Nona in Orlando, Fla., as the new “Home of American Tennis.”  In its inaugural year, nearly 200,000 players visited the groundbreaking facility, with more than 100 international, national and local tournaments held throughout the year.

TOM Conference in April to Feature Top Speaker Lineup

The fifth annual Tennis Owners & Managers (TOM) Conference will be April 8-11 at Wild Dunes Resort in Charleston, S.C., and will feature top experts and consultants inside and outside of the tennis industry. Presented by the TIA, the TOM Conference targets tennis owners, managers and industry decision-makers with a focus on innovation, growth, business leadership and development.

Tennis Industry Magazine Names 2017 'Champions of Tennis' Awards

Ajay Pant, the national tennis director for Life Time, has been named “Person of the Year” for 2017 by Tennis Industry magazine in the publication’s January 2018 issue. Pant led off the magazine’s 17th annual “Champions of Tennis Awards,” which honors people, businesses and organizations dedicated to improving the sport and business of tennis.
