Susan DiBiase, the U.S. director of marketing for tennis company Babolat, has been named “Person of the Year” for 2012 by Racquet Sports Industry magazine in the publication’s January 2013 issue. DiBiase led off the magazine’s 12th annual “Champions of Tennis Awards,” which honors people, businesses and organizations dedicated to improving the sport and business of tennis.

HOUSTON, TX (Sept. 13, 2012) – The United States Professional Tennis Association Board of Directors and Search Committee has hired industry veteran John Embree as the new CEO/Executive Director. Embree will take the administrative reigns from Tim Heckler, who will retire at the end of the year, after 30 years in the position. Embree will begin transitioning into his role as of Oct. 1and will be relocating to the national office in Houston on Nov. 1.
Tennis coaching legend Nick Bollettieri was the fifth person to be inducted into the Tennis Industry Hall of Fame, in a ceremony that took place recently in New York City, just before the start of the US Open tennis tournament. Bollettieri, one of the world’s most famous coaches, was honored for his significant impact on tennis.
