T.O.M. Conference Agenda Takes Shape

The agenda and speaker lineup for the 2015 Tennis Owners & Managers (T.O.M.) Conference, scheduled for March 18-19 in Indian Wells, Calif., continues to take shape as experts in tennis facility management, programming, marketing, personnel, and other areas confirm sessions designed to help facility owners and managers maximize their bottom line. The second annual T.O.M. Conference will be at the Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa, a few minutes away from the 2015 BNP Paribas Open men’s and women’s tournament taking place at the same time.

TIA Presents at USTA Tennis Development Workshop

The Tennis Industry Association presented key industry research and information at the USTA’s annual Tennis Development Workshop (TDW), held Nov. 7-9 in Atlanta, Ga. More than 500 tennis providers from around the country attended the TDW, including USTA section and district staff and volunteers, local Community Tennis Association and park & rec personnel, teaching pros and coaches. 

TIA & NSSA Offer Second Annual ‘Tennis Media Award’

The TIA and the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA) are again working together to help bring to light the many great stories about tennis—those who play, teach, organize, sponsor and promote the game. The TIA will present the Second Annual “Tennis Media Award” to an NSSA member (either a sportswriter or sportscaster) who produces a story  judged to be the most informative, interesting, and compelling about the sport of tennis or those involved in the sport.

'Try Tennis for Free' Offers New and Returning Players Opportunity to Get into Tennis In September

Throughout September, new and returning tennis players will have the opportunity to hit the courts for free during the industry-supported "Try Tennis for Free" campaign. The effort, managed by the Tennis Industry Association (TIA), is being driven through the PlayTennis.com website, where consumers can quickly and easily find participating facilities and tennis coaches.

The Tennis Show 2014 Celebrates the Business of Tennis

More than 1,000 tennis industry leaders, executives and professionals gathered at The Tennis Show 2014 recently in New York City to celebrate the business of tennis. Held on the eve of the US Open, The Tennis Show was produced by the Tennis Industry Association (TIA) and included the TIA Tennis Forum, the Tennis Industry Hall of Fame Induction, and 54 companies displaying their latest products and services.

'Try Tennis for Free' Offers New and Returning Players Opportunity to Get into Tennis This September

Throughout September, new and returning tennis players will have the opportunity to hit the courts for free during the industry-supported "Try Tennis for Free" campaign. The effort, managed by the Tennis Industry Association (TIA), is being driven through the PlayTennis.com website, where consumers can quickly and easily find participating facilities and tennis coaches. The September campaign builds on the success of the industry's previous "Try Tennis for Free" campaign, which was held during the month of May.
