The USTA has unveiled a new "icon system" for its growing 10andUnderTennis.com website, allowing tennis facilities and providers to enhance their consumer search profiles. The new icon system makes it easier for parents and consumers to easily identify what programs and services tennis providers are employing in their 10 and Under Tennis programming. The 10 and Under Tennis message is being pushed to the mainstream via a strategic partnership with Nickelodeon, the largest co-viewed cable network among youth and adults, and the new "March Into Tennis" promotion, which kicked off in full force during Tennis Night In American on March 5 at the BNP Paribas Showdown. In a collaboration between the Professional and Community Tennis divisions of the USTA a new program launched this year will provide grants to Pro Circuit sites that actively promote the 10 and Under Tennis format at their events, and whose facilities make programming available to the community. A primary goal of the legacy program is for tennis communities in the Pro Circuit markets to benefit from the tournaments throughout the year with enhanced support of grassroots programs.
As part of an ongoing partnership, the USTA and Nickelodeon announced the kick-off of the “Tennis Really Rocks” sweepstakes today, February 21. One lucky youngster will win the grand prize—a trip for four to New York to attend Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day, the annual kick-off event to the US Open; as well as hang with the stars of Nickelodeon’s brand-new live-action series "How to Rock," Cymphonique Miller and Max Schneider.
White Plains, NY (February 16, 2012) - In partnership with the United States Tennis Association (USTA), Emirates Airline announced a global, integrated sponsorship of the US Open and US Open Series. As part of the agreement, Emirates becomes the "Official Airline of the US Open" and the title sponsor of the "Emirates Airline US Open Series," whose 10 events combine to form the summer hardcourt professional tennis season and lead into the US Open.
Seven-time Grand Slam tournament champion John McEnroe has been named the 2012 spokesperson for “Tennis Night In America,” a combined promotional effort between the USTA, StarGames Inc., and MSG Sports.
