The USTA has unveiled a new "icon system" for its growing website, allowing tennis facilities and providers to enhance their consumer search profiles. The new icon system makes it easier for parents and consumers to easily identify what programs and services tennis providers are employing in their 10 and Under Tennis programming. Tennis Industry Joins National Health Through Fitness Day on Capitol Hill

After an inspirational talk from golfing great Gary Player, more than 125 leaders in the sports and fitness industry—including tennis industry executives—descended on Capitol Hill on March 7 to talk with members of Congress and their staffs about the issue of physical fitness. The event was the Sporting Goods Manufacturer’s Association 13th Annual National Health Through Fitness Day.

USTA Pro Circuit Introduces 10 and Under Tennis Legacy Program

In a collaboration between the Professional and Community Tennis divisions of the USTA a new program launched this year will provide grants to Pro Circuit sites that actively promote the 10 and Under Tennis format at their events, and whose facilities make programming available to the community.  A primary goal of the legacy program is for tennis communities in the Pro Circuit markets to benefit from the tournaments throughout the year with enhanced support of grassroots programs.

NEW YORK, N.Y. (March 7, 2012) – The 2012 World TeamTennis Pro League schedule kicks off on Monday, July 9, with the defending champion Washington Kastles vying to continue their 16-match winning streak that started last summer, as they face off against the Orange Country Breakers in Irvine, Calif.  League officials today released the 59-match schedule for the three-week regular season of the WTT Pro League presented by GEICO, which runs July 9-28 and concludes with the WTT Finals Weekend, Sept. 14-16 in Charleston, S.C.
