Twelve tennis facilities are winners in the 33rd annual USTA Facility Awards Program, which recognizes excellence in construction and/or renovation. The facilities will be honored at the USTA’s Semi-Annual Meeting in New York City on Aug. 30. Of the dozen winners, the “Featured Facility” is the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in California, a public facility that is the home of the BNP Paribas Open men’s and women’s pro tourney.

After a successful Future of Tennis Summit and Tennis Owners & Managers Conference (T.O.M. Conference) in 2014, the Tennis Industry Association (TIA) will return to Indian Wells, Calif., in March 2015 to host similar meetings as a part of its efforts to provide the industry with opportunities to gather and share ideas on growing frequent players and the business of tennis.
Longtime tennis industry veteran and industry pioneer Jim Baugh will become the ninth inductee into the Tennis Industry Hall of Fame on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, during the TIA Tennis Forum and Tennis Show at the Grand Hyatt in New York City.
Throughout September, new and returning tennis players will have the opportunity to hit the courts for free during the industry-supported "Try Tennis for Free" campaign.
