Indian Wells Tennis Garden To Host Pickleball Championships

The 2018 USA Pickleball National Championships—expected to draw approximately 2,500 players of all ages and skill levels—will be held at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden Nov. 3-11, in partnership with sports and entertainment management company Desert Champions and the U.S.A. Pickleball Association (USAPA). Lifestyle brand Margaritaville is the title sponsor of the USAPA sanctioned event.

USTA Names Outstanding Facility Award Winners

The Case Tennis Center at LaFortune Park in Tulsa, Okla., is the “Featured Facility” in the 2018 USTA Outstanding Facility Awards. The facility was honored at an awards ceremony in New York City during the US Open. Each year, the USTA recognizes facilities throughout the country to encourage increasingly high standards for construction and/or renovation.

Inaugural Racquet & Paddle Sports Conference Jan. 23-25 in Orlando

The inaugural Racquet & Paddle Sports Conference will be held Jan. 23-25, 2019, and co-located with the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla.  The multi-faceted tennis, racquet and paddle sports industry event will feature a hands-on product demo experience and opening welcome party at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona; and a curated ONE2ONE buying summit, Tennis Owners & Managers (TOM) Conference and an exhibit pavilion of racquet, paddle and tennis vendors and organizations at the Orange County Convention Center. 

Tennis Industry Hears Challenges, Opportunities At TIA Tennis Forum

More than 350 tennis leaders, industry executives and tennis providers came together on the first day of play at the US Open for the 11th annual Tennis Industry Association (TIA) Tennis Forum, held at the Grand Hyatt New York. The Tennis Forum included the latest news and research about the state of the tennis and sports industries, including the current challenges, potential opportunities, and collaborative ways to move the sport and industry forward.
