The 2014 tennis season has officially kicked off in the U.S. and various segments of the trade are supporting a "Restring for Spring" campaign to get consumers into retail stores to "tune-up" their racquets. Behind the effort, which is a small part of the overarching "Tennis Tune-Up" messaging being driven via PlayTennis.com, is the Tennis Industry Association, industry manufacturers, retailers, media, and the United States Racquet Stringers Association.
Most recently, The Tennis Media Company has begun including "Restring for Spring" messaging in its various consumer touch-points such as Tennis.com and Tennis Tuesday, a new all digital magazine delivered to tennis players across the country. There are also a variety of trade based stories that are circulating in publications such as Tennis Industry Magazine to help retailers and stringers become more involved in the effort and give tips and hints on how to relay to their customers the importance and timing of restringing.

Consumers looking to find a stringer in their area can do so quickly and easily with the recently released "Find-a-Stringer" search on PlayTennis.com. Make sure your retail shop and stringers have your FREE listing in the PlayTennis.com searchable database. These searches will let consumers know whether a retailer has a USRSA Certified Stringer and/or Master Racquet Technician on hand, so they're assured they're getting the best racquet service available.
