With support from retailers, manufacturers and the U.S. Racquet Stringers Association, the “Tennis Tune-Up” campaign is designed as a year-round effort for the industry. The goal is two-fold: First, to help educate consumers on the need to be properly fit for tennis equipment and to restring their racquets on a regular basis, and second, to drive customers to tennis retail outlets and certified stringers for expert advice.
For retailers, there are several easy steps you can take to grow your business through the Tennis Tune-Up campaign, including:
1.Make sure you’re listed on PlayTennis.com! Visit the site, click the “find a retailer” button on the left side and enter your zip code. If you don’t find your store, click the “Can’t find my retail shop” button, then just fill out the simple form.
2. Access the free Tennis Tune-Up collateral available by going to PlayTennis.com – click on Tennis Tune-up tab. Material includes:
• Downloadable and printable consumer PSA about restringing and the Tune-Up Campaign.
•Downloadable banner ads for your store or facility website.
•Customizable business cards that you can give to consumers.
3.Log in at GrowTennis.com to add a special Tennis Tune-Up offer for your customers or members. For instance, you can offer special discounts on stringing and customizing services, special pricing on add-on purchases, a “frequent restringing” program, etc.
4. Encourage your customers and players to visit PlayTennis.com to learn more about the Tennis Tune-Up campaign, as well as sign up for the site and a chance to win autographed tennis products from some of the game’s biggest stars, merchandise packs, tickets to the 2014 US Open, and more.
