TIA hosts ‘The Power of Harnessing Data’ Roundtable in Indian Wells

Technology and SaaS partners of the Tennis Industry Association and big data companies are invited to an exclusive roundtable on “Harnessing the Power of Data,” which will be held in Indian Wells, Calif., on March 14, during the BNP Paribas Open.

The informal roundtable, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa, will feature discussions on innovation, data acquisition and the delivery process, with a goal of improving research and market intelligence for the tennis industry.

“As we all recognize the explosion of data and growing platforms for retail, consumers, players and facilities,” says Jolyn de Boer, executive director of the TIA, which is presenting the roundtable. “We need to understand as an industry, how we can harness these insights and analytics to produce unified and integrated profiles of our customers and players. Then, we can determine how best to act on this information to grow this sport and business of tennis. That’s the collaborative discussion we want to get started at the “Harnessing the Power of Data’ roundtable.” Findings from the event will be reported at the annual TIA Board Meeting and Tennis Forum.

The roundtable, which is free and includes breakfast for attendees, has limited space available, on a first-come basis—for qualified companies/individuals. To attend, contact de Boer at jolyn@tennisindustry.org or 843-686-3036.
