Overview of TIA Research
The TIA is the research source! We interview more than 30,000 tennis players, 2,000 tennis retailers and 10,000 facility owners throughout the year. The research available to each company is dependent on membership level and type of business. Customized research can also be performed to fit your business needs. (See descriptions of the reports offered to the various industry segments using the navigation in the top menu.) Our research partner Sports Marketing Surveys was established in 1984 and has offices in 11 countries (USA, UK, France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, South Korea, Japan and Australia) and is the World's largest specialist sports and sponsorship research group. Sports Marketing Surveys offers knowledge based consultancy to help you use strategically, data, information and research from whatever source.

The Tennis Industry dashboard is a quick top-line snapshot of the most recent research numbers released from the Tennis Industry Association. Each quarter, the TIA updates the dashboard with the latest information collected from the Quarterly Census Reports on Balls, Racquets, and Strings. Metrics on the success of 10 and Under Tennis are supplied by the USTA. Year-end topline numbers on participation, the industry's economic index, and other key industry indicators are also availabe on the dashboard.

This file gives you an overview of some of the key tennis industry talking points with information on the latest research, initiatives, and latest efforts underway industry-wide.

This annual report is a synthesis of the TIA's 70+ annual research reports, telling the story of tennis for the past year. The SOI focuses on the tennis supply, tennis demand, tennis economy, and tennis media/pro events.

The annual Physical Activity Council Report measures sports participation, fitness, and recreation in the United States among 117 different sports. Member companies of the Physical Activity Council are the Sports and Fitness Industry Association; International Health, Racquet, and Sportsclub Association; Outdoor Foundation; Snowsports Industry Association; National Golf Foundation; and the USTA/TIA

- Retail audits
- Dealer surveys
- Consumer surveys
- The Census reports will contain only topline market size
Exception: the quarterly press release from the retail audit includes top 5 models for the year to date.

- TIA State of the Industry: $500 - Includes an overview from our tennis participation, consumer report, specialty retail audit, retailer satisfaction and census reports
- Cost of Doing Business: $500 - Provides essential operational data to help benchmark your business.
- Please Note: You can also receive these reports plus added information, services and benefits when you become an Industry Member ($100) of Association Member ($295) of the TIA
- If you become an Associate Member ($295) you will receive both the State of the Industry and Cost of Doing Business Reports. Student Membership available – see below
- Students (with proof of status)
- If you are a student working on a project for educational purposes the TIA offers current State of the Industry and Cost of Doing Business Report access
- In return for the help offered, we require that students email their completed reports to research@tennisindustry.org. At the end of the academic year (June of 2013) the TIA will reward $500 to the student with the best paper meeting our criteria
- Custom Research
- If your request requires a custom report than please fill out the research request form in as much detail as possible and we will contact you within 48 hours to start working on your request
- There is a minimum charge of $500 for custom research and an additional $75 per hour will be charged to put together this type of data. Students meeting the requirements above can receive reduced rates for custom research requested
