Global Tennis Rule Change Jan. 1 for 10 and Under Tennis

On January 1, 2012 the rules of tennis officially will be changed and require that 10 and Under Tennis tournaments be played utilizing smaller, lighter racquets and lower-bouncing balls on smaller courts. The change was adopted by the USTA in the summer of 2010.

BNP Paribas Showdown, Tennis Night in America Set for March 5

ITF Approves Green Ball Option for Competitive Play

The ITF board of directors, at its meeting in early November, approved a rule that allows for a two-year trial in which the stage 1 green ball can be used as an optional ball for all competitive play, except at the highest levels. The trial period begins in January 2012, and each national federation will be able to decide which national competitive events can use the green ball.

Weather Can't Dampen US Open Attendance, Web Records

The Tennis Show to Feature Prizes Valued at Over $12,000

ATP Announces Significant Prize Money Increases

The ATP has announced a multi-year agreement that will see prize money on the ATP World Tour increase significantly over the next three seasons, exceeding $90 million (not including Grand Slam tournaments) for the first time by 2014.
