Gear Up Your Retail Business for the Holiday Shopping Season

The holiday shopping season has begun with the passing of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. According to the National Retail Federation a record 226 million shoppers took to the stores in search of doorbuster deals over Black Friday weekend, with the average shopper spending nearly $400, almost a 10% increase versus last year. Cyber Monday was also a success for retailers, with double digit growth in online sales, up 15% over last year. To help tennis retailers capitalize on this holiday shopping season and make it a success the TIA recently presented a retail webinar outlining holiday retail trends and tips for tennis retailers to utilize in their stores.

3,000th Youth-Sized Court To Be Dedicated in Atlanta

Grove Park in Atlanta is the official site of the USTA’s 3,000th newly renovated youth-sized tennis court in the U.S., which will be marked by a celebration and dedication on Nov. 30. The City of Atlanta and the USTA will co-host a media event to recognize the public-private partnership that made the renovated court possible.
