Are You Ready for the All-New PlayTennis.com?

January 25, 2012 · 1 Comment

Visit PlayTennis.com now to update or create your free provider listing so consumers can find you and your business.

The tennis industry is working together to make it easier for players of all ages and abilities to get into the game and play more tennis—and at the heart of this industry-wide strategy is the all-new PlayTennis.com.

Supported by an advertising campaign that includes tennis organizations, manufacturers, retailers, facilities and teaching pros, PlayTennis.com will be redesigned and re-launched this spring. The site will be the best place for millions of consumers to find places to play, playing partners, programming, retailers, tennis instructors and much more.

For this industry-wide site to be as effective as possible, tennis providers need to go to PlayTennis.com now to update or create their free listings, so consumers and players will quickly be able to find you and your business when playtennis.com is re-launched.

Consumer Launch in May

The USTA and TIA, working closely with industry partners, has made a major resource commitment to PlayTennis.com, which will be launched to consumers in May. The site will remain brand neutral, helping to convey the simple unified industry message of what this new site is all about—getting people to "play tennis."

Right now, the site is available for tennis providers to create or update their free listings. Messaging from the TIA, USTA and other industry sources via email blasts, newsletters, articles, and other media will be directing tennis teachers, club owners, facility managers, retailers and other industry contacts to PlayTennis.com to follow links to make sure their information in the database is current.

Free Marketing Material

To assist all stakeholders in the industry-wide promotion, the USTA/TIA has made available for free download PlayTennis.com logos for tennis businesses and organizations to use in marketing and promotional materials to consumers—in formats suitable for web, print, mobile and broadcast. For retailers, racquet and apparel hang tags also are available to download. All are available at TennisIndustry.org/playtennis.

Also available is a PlayTennis.com Marketing Checklist that providers can use to get involved. The checklist includes suggestions for businesses in how they may reach consumers with the simple “PlayTennis.com” message and includes tips for manufacturers, retailers, facilities, tournaments, court builders, teaching pros, schools, CTAs and more. The PlayTennis.com marketing checklist is also available for download at TennisIndustry.org/playtennis.

I'm tired of hearing about the 10 and under program (it's just a moneymaking deal). I'm sorry to say more isn't being done for senior players who have already put in l5 20 years, a lot of money, and nobody is making the age brackets better for seniors. On our team alone we have two players with 2 knee replacements each, I have macular degeneration and all we want is to go from 4/0 to 3.5 and NO ONE WILL CHANGE IT. If you don't want to change it then move the othersup to 4.5 where they should be but we don't have enough leagues for this!!!You need a committee to serve the seniors who have put in the time and money and want to continue thank you jan snyder 610 264 4328
