As the tennis industry adapts to new trends in technology and embraces new methods of generating revenue, technology tools provided by the TIA, such as the GrowingTennis System and TennisConnect, have seen exponential growth in their use over the past year. In the month of April alone, all TIA-powered websites had nearly 7 million page views.
QuickStart Tennis programming listed in the GrowingTennis System, which is now delivered at nearly 1,600 facilities across the U.S., is up nearly 70%. Additionally, the GrowingTennis System has seen a substantial number of new events created, posted, and made searchable on industry websites such as USTA.com, TennisChannel.com, CardioTennis.com, TennisWelcomeCenter.com, and more, since an e-mail blast went out to facilities at the end of April.
Court Reservations, made with the TIA’s facility management software product, TennisConnect, is up 73% over the first quarter of last year, with more than 843,000 court reservations made from January through March of 2010. Projections for the end of the year 2010
have the TennisConnect software product handling nearly 2.5 million court reservations.
Recent research reports, such as the Tennis Marketplace and the Cost of Doing Business for Facilities, indicate consumers are demanding access to tennis programming online, and this is further evidenced in the recent surge in activity on websites and technology tools provided by the TIA.
