The Tennis Industry Association—the non-profit group representing the tennis trade including the major racquet manufacturers —is pulling together its forces to combat the growing counterfeit business. Tennis has become more popular in recent years in the U.S. and around the world. But with that good news comes some bad: sales of counterfeit racquets have been increasing.

Light at the End of the Tunnel?
Times are still hard for pro/specialty tennis retailers, but there may be a light at the end of the tunnel—trade shipments for rackets $50 wholesale are up 7.6% through the end of Q3. And retailers report a modest 3% dollar increase in racket sales year to date through October. More
