If you haven't already registered, please do so now to become a Participating 10 and Under Tennis Retailer

Below are just a few of the efforts underway to focus on economic health, frequent player growth and improved communications.  Our biggest opportunity for future growth of our sport lies with the development of youth tennis and the USTA has made a significant investment in the 10 and Under Tennis initiative. The TIA is also fully committed to making this effort successful and ensuring we connect the initiative to help further fuel the economic interests of our industry.  There will be more communication in the coming weeks and months.

10 and Under Tennis: The TIA will lead the 10 and Under Tennis retail effort, working with the USTA to ensure both short- and long-term benefits for the industry. The TIA is coordinating the “retail locator” function on the USTA’s 10andundertennis.com website. The TIA will also be working closely with the USTA to advise on additional in-store and on-line marketing materials needed to further support how we merchandise our sport to ensure easy selection and understanding of 10 and Under equipment for parents as well.  Click here for 10 and Under Tennis Marketing Updates.

The Tennis Show 2011: Plans are under way for the inaugural “Tennis Show 2011” to be held just before the start of the US Open in conjunction with the USTA Tennis Teacher’s Conference in New York City. The event will take place on Saturday, Aug. 27, and will include a trade show, the TIA Tennis Forum, Tennis Industry Hall of Fame, all leading up to the Opening Session and Reception of the USTA's Tennis Teachers' Conference.

PlayTennis.com: A single portal to tie together all parts of this sport, PlayTennis.com, was a concept initially developed by the TIA to provide a pathway to drive interest, connectivity and opportunities to reach more players and keep them engaged in the game. In 2012, this multi-platform destination will be rolled out from the USTA in conjunction with the TIA and industry partners, to connect existing players and potential players to local play opportunities.

GrowTennis.com: Retail store information submitted when you register at TennisIndustry.org/Retail has been input into the GrowingTennis System database of tennis retailers.  This database populates searches by consumers on a variety of tennis industry websites, such as TennisChannel.com and Tennis.com, and 250+ widget internet searches. Click here to view your listing. In addition, those retailers that are carrying the qualifying amount of 10 and Under Tennis product have also been included on the retail locator at 10andundertennis.com/Equipment.htm

Retail Consulting: The TIA is working with retail specialist Gluskin Townley Group on benefits for retailers, including education programs (topics include today's changing marketplace, using social media as a marketing tool, and more). A "Retail Assessment: 360-Degree Review" is also being developed to help provide a strategic platform for businesses. Monthly "Retail Tips" will be included in RSI Magazine and in TIA communication pieces.

Please  go to www.TennisIndustry.org right now and register your contact information and retail store to also receive our monthly e-news to keep up on the TIA, 10 and Under Tennis developments and related areas for our industry.
Thank you for your efforts each day for our sport and industry!

Sincerely,
